China Southern Power Grid Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CSG) invests in, constructs and operates power networks in Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou and Hainan provinces, with a total service area of 1.03 million square kilometers and 248 million people.

In 2015, CSG sold 782.2TWh of electricity and company revenue reached RMB 470.7 billion, with 189.1TWh of electricity transmitted in the “West-to-East” Power Transmission Project. Standard & Poor’s, Moody’s and Fitch have awarded CSG the highest sovereign rating.

For the first half of 2016, CSG sold 375.8 TWh of electricity, and the operating revenue reached RMB 220.8 billion. As of June, 2016, CSG’s total assets amounted to RMB 667.1 billion. CSG has been listed in Fortune Global 500 for 11 consecutive years, ranking 95th in the year 2016.

Featuring long distance, extra high voltage and hybrid DC/AC operation, CSG operates one of the most sophisticated and technically advanced grid in the world. With its grid spanning 2,000 kilometers from east to west, and a total installed capacity of 0.269 TW. CSG has instituted “8 AC and 9 DC” totaling 17 channels in the West-to-East Power Transmission Project with a maximum transmission capacity of 39.5GW.

Adjacent to Hong Kong, Macau and bordering Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar, CSG had carried out 45.1TWh of power transactions with Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar through eight interconnections by the end of 2015.
