China Southern Air Holding Company (CSAH) was established on October 11, 2002. As one of the three major air transportation groups managed by central government, it specializes in air transportation and cargo logistics, and has also engaged in aero engines maintenance, import & export trading, financing, media & advertising, real estate, etc. Publicly listed on Shanghai, Hong Kong and New York Stock Exchanges, China Southern (stock code: 600029) now has 15 branches, 4 bases, 24 domestic offices and 65 international offices. Now CSAH has more than100, 000 employees and manages assets in excess of RMB 200 billion Yuan.

China Southern has a huge aircraft fleet. It is the greatest airlines in Asia in terms of flee size and passenger traffic. Currently, it operates 700 aircraft and helicopters, including the Airbus A380 (the biggest aircraft in the world) and the Boeing B787. In terms of fleet size, China Southern is the largest in Asia and the fourth of all the airlines in the world. China Southern has a comprehensive route network. With Guangzhou, Beijing, Urumqi and Chongqing as core hubs, it has formed a highly-developed route network with close links to Europe, America, Australia and Africa. Every day, it has over 2,000 flights across 195 destinations of 40 nations and regions, and provides over 300,000 seats. With close partnership with other SkyTeam partner airlines, China Southern has broadened its air network to now connect to 1,062 destinations of 177 nations and regions across the world. It is committed to building the international aviation hub of “Canton Route”, and Guangzhou (Canton) has become the greatest gateway from China to Oceania and Southeast Asia.

China Southern boasts extraordinary support capability. It has the greatest comprehensive support capability in China and the independent pilot training competency. It has built the Flight College together with Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Zhuhai Flight Training Center which is largest in Asia in partnership with CAE, Inc., the world renowned flight simulator manufacturer. It also has a vibrant aircraft maintenance capability, and the Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance & Engineering Co. Ltd.(GAMECO), a subsidy of China Southern Airlines, has one of the largest aircraft maintenance hangars in Asia. In partnership with MTU Aero Engines, China Southern operates a massive aero engine maintenance base - the largest in China in terms of facility and overhaul capabilities. With a complete support system, it independently developed the Flight Operation Control System and Aero Engine Performance Monitoring System, which are both the most advanced IT systems in Chinese aviation industry and have earned the National Second Prize for Progress in Science & Technology. Currently, China Southern has a freight depot with an annual cargo throughput of 800,000 tons, and a specialized aviation catering center that can create and deliver more than 30 million aviation meals per year.
