President Xi to visit Cambodia from Oct. 13 to 14

Chinese President Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to Cambodia from October 13th to 14th. The visit is at the invitation of Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni.

Cambodian authorities renovated landmarks in the capital, Phnom Penh, in anticipation of President Xi's visit. Events such as China-themed book fairs and dialogues between Chinese and Cambodian media were also held.

Cambodia is one of the countries along the 21st-century Maritime Silk Road, and actively supports and participates in China's "One Belt One Road" initiative.

Many hope Xi Jinping's visit can help expand the two countries' bilateral relations by revitalizing trade and other economic exchanges.
