Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari said on Monday that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and Gwadar Port have the potential to transform Pakistan into a center of international trade and provide vital connectivity to multiple regions.

According to official reports from Cambodia, China was the country's largest investor and trading partner in 2024. Additionally, China ranked as the third-largest source of foreign tourists to Cambodia, significantly contributing to the country's socio-economic growth and the development of its tourism sector.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Monday that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a cornerstone for regional connectivity and the economic development of his country, the prime minister's office said in a statement.
