At first, ideas like the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) seemed distant, almost abstract. They appeared to me as belonging more to policy documents than to everyday realities. Over time, however, I have begun to see how such frameworks could be connected to the development challenges we face in southern Africa, including Botswana.

The BRI demonstrates that when countries work together toward common goals, the potential for development is significantly enhanced. The initiative highlights the importance of inclusivity, ensuring that growth benefits a wide range of stakeholders.

Combined with his personal experience of pursuing a master's degree in China, Agustina Beláustegui, a student from Renmin University of China, deeply understands the connotation and evolution of a community with a shared future for humanity and the Belt and Road Initiative from an internal perspective.
