Regulations of Guiyang City on Big Data Security Management released

On August 16, 2018, the Standing Committee of the Guiyang Municipal People's Congress held a press conference announcing that the Regulations of Guiyang City on Big Data Security Management (Regulations), China's first local regulations on big data security management, would come into effect as of October 1, 2018. The Regulations were Guiyang's another innovative legislative exploration of big data security after Guiyang released the Regulations of Guiyang City on Government Data Sharing and Opening, China's first local regulations on government data sharing and opening in 2017, as well as the latest outcome of local big data legislation.
