More features of the Big Data Expo Forum 2019

The press conference for China International Big Data Industry Expo 2019 (hereinafter referred to as “Big Data Expo 2019”) was held successfully in Beijing on 25th, February,and told that the Big Data Expo 2019 will be held in Guiyang, Guizhou Province from 26th to 29th of May and the theme this year is “Data Creates More Value, Innovation Brings A Better Future”. The Big Data Expo 2019 features one summit, one exhibition, one release conference, competitions and other events. With an area of 60,000 m2 for exhibition, the Expo will attract more than 400 enterprises and over 100,000 participants. 

As the world’s first big data-themed expo, it has seen four successful runs. 240 summits and forums have been held over the past four years, in which more than 130,000 participants acquired cooperative opportunities and professional communication chances. Having become a trendsetter of global big data industries and the most authoritative and international industry sharing platform, the Big Data Expo forum has always focused on hot topics in the industry and presented the insiders with new ideas, different viewpoints and innovative thinking. Every annual Big Data Expo forum opens a window showing the development prospect of the latest information technology: internet plus, intelligent terminals, digital economy, blockchain, industrial internet and current hot topic 5G and smart city. 

What good news will be released to the tech professionals from Big Data Expo Forum 2019 at a key point of its 5th anniversary? Liu Duo, Secretary General of Internet Society of China (ISC), answered forum-related questions raised by the reporters from China Big Data Industry Observation in the news conference.

The higher level guests are invited from wider international scope are invited. Liu Duo says that the ISC shoulders the responsibility of top-level design and feasibility assessment of proposals for Big Data Expo forum, and the higher level guests are invited from a wider international scope. Now it is confirmed that Paul M. Romer, winner of the 2018 Nobel Prize in Economics and member of the United States National Academy of Engineering, and Whitfield Diffie, winner of 2015 Turing Award and Foreign Member of Royal Society will attend the Big Data Expo 2019.

The high-level dialogues play a prominent role in development of the industry. The Big Data Expo 2019 is to be held in form of High-level Dialogue and Professional Forum according to the general requirement of “Combine Speaking and Doing, High-level Speaking, Effective Doing”. The topics for High-level Dialogue are focusing more on leading role for development of the industry. Liu Duo introduces that 6 ~ 7 high-level dialogues will be held in adherence to the principle of “Hottest Topics, Highest Concern, Widest Influence”, covering topics like digital economy, data security, AI, 5G, blockchain, industrial internet, industry internet, intelligent manufacturing, E-commerce and targeted poverty reduction, which are well planned and carefully selected. The representative authorities, including Institutes of Science and Development of Chinese Academy of Science, Tencent, ISC, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), Sun Seven Stars Media Group and China Unicom will be invited acting as the organizers to take joint responsibility for planning and implementation of the High-level Dialogue events.

The Professional Forum highlights professionalization and practicability. In guidance of the principle “Market Leading, Enterprise Dominating”, the enterprises will discuss the cutting-edge technologies and display their latest products and application solutions, playing dominant role in the Big Data Expo 2019, and they will practice “Combine Speaking and Doing” to promote development of the big data industry. Five categories “Technical Innovation, Data Security, Digital Economy, Integrated Development, Cooperation and Exchange” have been drawn up for the Professional Forum. Global collection of proposals for the forum was launched on 15th January and came to an end on 28th February. Hundreds of enterprises and institutes around the world have consulted for intended organizing of the forums, of which some selected events will be held during the Big Data Expo 2019.
