The Single window pilot service reform of customs clearance has expanded to 13 provincial regions, the General Administration of Customs said on July 24.

The reform was initially piloted in Tianjin, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, Chongqing and Shaanxi, and has now been expanded to Beijing, Shanghai, Shandong, Henan, Hunan, Guizhou and the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.

The Single window service now consists of cargo declaration, transport tool declaration and the processing of enterprise qualifications, certificate of origins and licenses.

The other major procedures in customs clearance will be added to the Single window service by the end of September, according to the General Administration of Customs.

Zhang Guangzhi, Head of National Office of Port Administration, said the reform will be oriented by its objectives, the customers' needs and the practical problems, and will serve enterprises.

He said the service will involve agencies of port administrative affairs, navigation matters, taxation, insurance and financial services in the long run.
