The 14th China-ASEAN Expo taking place in its permanent host city of Nanning, South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, in September will set up an exhibition zone for the first time for the Belt and Road Initiative and advanced manufacturing, the expo's secretariat said.

This year the exhibition area for China is approximately 89,000 square meters, and for ASEAN and the other countries and regions it is 35,000 square meters, among which 4,400 square meters are designated for the Belt and Road Initiative. The expo secretariat has received applications from the United States, Australia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Kazakhstan and Sri Lanka to take part in the Belt and Road exhibition.

The advanced manufacturing exhibition will highlight digital networks showcasing intelligent and green unmanned aerial vehicles, robots, 3D printing, meteorological equipment and service systems, as well as other electronic information technologies and equipment.

Brunei is the theme state of this year's expo and will have an exclusive exhibition hall to showcase its products and publicize its culture.
