Jinan-Moscow flight to open in December

Jinan, capital of east China's Shandong Province, will begin flights to Moscow in December.

Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport said the route will open on December 15. Russia's iFly Airlines will operate the route, but the flight, according to Xue Gang, head of marketing at the airport, adding that the route was good news for football fans from Jinan planning to watch the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

This is the second international flight from the city. The first, to Los Angeles, was launched in 2016.

The airport is exploring new international routes with Europe and Australia. A Jinan-Helsinki route is expected to open in March, 2018.
