Chinese enterprise wins EPC contract for National Convention Center in Micronesia

A leading Chinese structural steel industry group China Construction Steel Structure Corp. Ltd. (CSCEC Steel) lately won bid for the design, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for the National Convention Center project of the Federated States of Micronesia.

Covering an area of 18,000 square meters, the Center consists of multi-function halls, conference rooms, office areas and service areas, equipment room, and ancillary facilities such as plaza, road, parking lot, etc.

This project is another EPC project in Belt and Road countries undertaken by CSCEC Steel after the Butuka Academy, PNG and China Friendship School, PNG Scratchley & Pari reconstruction Project and etc. It makes the Federated States of Micronesia the third new market of CSCEC Steel in 2019.

The Federated States of Micronesia is located in the Central Pacific Ocean, with a land area of 702 square kilometers. It has an exclusive economic zone of 2.98 million square kilometers, and a coastline of 6,112 kilometers.
