Chongqing - Chongqing Shenganweizhi IoT Technology Co., Ltd. (CSIT) in Liangjiang New Area has recently signed an agreement with Singapore's Vilota Company, specializing in advanced IoT solutions and smart technologies, to jointly develop the Low-Altitude Cloud Eye platform.

This collaboration was formalized during the ninth meeting of the Joint Implementation Committee of the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity.

According to Gu Qiaoyu, Deputy General Manager of CSIT, the Low-Altitude Cloud Eye platform uses advanced technologies like visual positioning sensors, binocular vision obstacle avoidance sensors, and AI edge boxes. These innovations equip drones and robots with "smart binoculars," allowing operations in areas beyond human reach. The platform supports applications in low-altitude logistics and agriculture.

The two companies have already completed the development of related equipment and plan to establish a laboratory at the National University of Singapore (Chongqing) Research Institute. This lab will facilitate technological exchanges between China and Singapore.

This collaboration underscores Liangjiang New Area's deepening ties with Singapore. In late June, during the ninth meeting of the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity, six companies from Liangjiang signed agreements for nine projects. The area has signed 73 China-Singapore cooperation projects to date, solidifying its role as a core area for these initiatives.

Building on this foundation, Liangjiang New Area leverages the "dual hubs" between Chongqing and Singapore. The China-Singapore (Chongqing) Multimodal Transport Demonstration Base at Guoyuan Port is a notable achievement.

Since its launch in June 2022, this base has combined Singapore's logistics expertise with domestic resources like the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor (ILSTC), China Railway Express to Europe, Yangtze River Golden Waterway, Guoyuan Port, and Jiangbei International Airport, significantly improving international cargo transport and transshipment efficiency.

In the first half of this year, the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Multimodal Transport Demonstration Base handled over 14,000 TEUs, a 21% increase year-on-year. Its total circulation value exceeded 4.1 billion yuan (aboutUSD 564 million), up over 150%.

The ILSTC (Guoyuan Port) freight train has achieved regular dispatches, connecting 514 ports in 123 countries. In the first five months, 394 trains were dispatched, a 70% increase year-on-year, with cargo value reaching 3.82 billion yuan, up 132%.
