Xinhua president meets with Brazilian ambassador to China

BEIJING, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- President of Xinhua News Agency Fu Hua on Friday met with Brazilian Ambassador to China Marcos Galvao in Beijing.

Noting that this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Brazil, Fu said that Xinhua is willing to work with Brazilian media organizations to earnestly implement the important consensus reached by the heads of state of the two countries, continue promoting people-to-people exchange between the two nations, and make contributions to the next "50 golden years" of bilateral relations.

Noting that Brazil will host this year's G20 Leaders' Summit, Fu said that Xinhua will leverage its advantage of global presence to cover the event, making contributions to the modernization of the Global South.

Galvao said that the Brazilian embassy in China is willing to facilitate exchange and cooperation between Xinhua and people from all walks of life in Brazil, help enhance mutual understanding between the two peoples, and promote further development of the Brazil-China friendship.
