CHALIECO and VINACOMIN hold technical exchange symposium
On August 8, the technical exchange symposium between CHALIECO and VINACOMIN was successfully held in Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam. This meeting marked a breakthrough in comprehensively implementing CHALIECO’s “Technology + International” strategy and advancing overseas market technology marketing through an integrated operational model of “headquarters + subsidiaries + overseas branches.” The event was attended by Liu Jing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of CHALIECO, and Zhou Dongfang, Deputy General Manager, alongside Nguyen Anh Tuan, Board Member, and Nguyen Tien Manh, Deputy General Manager of VINACOMIN, who delivered speeches at the symposium.
The symposium featured nine insightful presentations across five key areas: aluminum industry chain planning, EPC contracting experience, alumina/aluminum electrolysis technology, green mining, and heavy non-ferrous metal smelting technologies. Over 70 experts and technical specialists from VINACOMIN and CHALIECO gathered to exchange knowledge on green mining, alumina production, aluminum electrolysis, heavy non-ferrous metal smelting, as well as industrial chain planning, EPC project experience, cutting-edge technology applications, and digital smart factory solutions in aluminum processing.
In his address, Liu Jing stated that CHALIECO has successfully constructed two modern alumina benchmark plants - Lam Dong and Nhan Co - for VINACOMIN under EPC turnkey contracts. The smooth completion and commissioning of these projects have established a solid and productive cooperative relationship between both parties. Moving forward, CHALIECO will continue leveraging its extensive EPC experience in engineering construction and strong technical capabilities in the non-ferrous metals industry. The company remains committed to actively contributing and sharing the latest technological achievements in non-ferrous metals. With higher standards, superior quality, and more innovative solutions, CHALIECO will provide comprehensive support and service guarantees for VINACOMIN’s future new plant construction projects. Through continuous technological empowerment and engineering practice, CHALIECO will support VINACOMIN in achieving leapfrog capacity expansion and optimization and upgrading of its industrial chain.
In his speech, Nguyen Tien Manh stated that VINACOMIN aims to adopt advanced, modern, and environmentally friendly technologies while enhancing economic efficiency in production and operations. This symposium serves as an opportunity to further solidify the strategic partnership between VINACOMIN and CHALIECO, as well as a crucial step in implementing VINACOMIN’s development strategy. It aligns with the group’s 2030 development plan and 2045 vision for the mineral mining and processing industry. He expressed hope that CHALIECO’s valuable practical experience and innovative technological models in bauxite mining, alumina refining/aluminum electrolysis production, and non-ferrous metal processing would open new avenues for cooperation. This collaboration will accelerate progress in bauxite mining, alumina, and aluminum electrolysis projects, laying a solid foundation for the future development of both VINACOMIN and CHALIECO.
The meeting brought together senior executives and technical experts from CHALIECO’s headquarters, SAMI, CINF, China Nonferrous Metals Processing Technology Co., Ltd., and Vietnam Representative Office, along with key representatives from VINACOMIN’s headquarters, Lam Dong and Nhan Co Alumina Plants, Alumina Project Department, Power Corporation, Mineral Corporation, Mining Technology and Science Academy, Mining Energy Machinery Institute, and Mining Investment Consulting Company.
