A subsidiary of China's rolling stock manufacturer CRRC Corp. Ltd. has seen its first batch of tailor-made buses roll off assembly line ahead of schedule and ready for export to Saudi Arabia.

The 12-meter gas-powered bus, manufactured by CRRC Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd., features unitary construction and intelligent car networking system, as well as a smart dashboard and driver-assist system.

The sightseeing buses are specially developed with outstanding radiation-resistant and cooling effects based on the operating environment in Saudi Arabia, according to Xiao Yong, deputy general manager of the company.

Xiao said 20 such buses are expected to be shipped to Saudi Arabia on April 20.

Apart from the order from Saudi Arabia, the company also received an electric bus order from New Zealand in late February amid the fight against the novel coronavirus epidemic.

Founded in 2007, CRRC Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd., in Zhuzhou City of central China's Hunan Province, manufactures electric as well as gas-powered buses, and buses of special purpose like school bus and ambulance.
