China's Jinan opens air cargo route to Los Angeles in U.S.
A new, scheduled air cargo route linking Jinan, capital of east China's Shandong Province, and Los Angeles in the United States was launched recently, the Xinhua-run Shanghai Securities News reported on Monday.
Using the MD-11 all-cargo freighter, the flight is scheduled to operate twice a week, with a maximum load of 85 tonnes.
It is learned that the imported cargos of the route mainly consist of high value-added products, such as mechanical and electrical products, high-tech products and measuring instruments, while the exported products include pharmaceuticals, mechanical and electrical products, high-tech products, integrated circuits, etc.
The opening of this route will support Jinan in building aviation logistics network, optimize the city's air cargo layout, attract investment, and improve the level of the city's opening up.
