The first collection of academic papers written in Bosnian and focusing on the relations between China and Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) was published recently in BiH, the Chinese Embassy in BiH said on Tuesday.

According to the embassy, the collection, entitled "Belt and Road Initiative and Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries: A BiH Perspective," was published by the Budapest-based China-CEE Institute in collaboration with the BiH Center for Promotion and Development of Belt and Road Initiative (CBRI).

The collection includes academic papers written by eight former Bosnian government officials, experts and scholars, such as Mladen Ivanic, a former member of BiH's Presidency.

The collection is "rich in content, including interpretation of and reflection on practical cooperation between China and BiH in various fields under the Belt and Road Initiative and the framework of China-CEEC cooperation," Faruk Boric, chief editor of the volume, told Xinhua.

Sefik Dzaferovic, chairman of BiH's Presidency, wrote the preface to the book.

"Through participation in the Belt and Road Initiative and the '17+1 (China-CEEC) cooperation', BiH shows its determined intention to further strengthen and enhance its economic cooperation with the People's Republic of China," read the preface.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and BiH.
