China's assistance is helping Serbia get through the COVID-19 pandemic smoothly, according to Ivona Ladjevac, an expert at the Institute of International Politics and Economics in Serbia.

Ladjevac said that Serbia received medical supplies from China last March just a few days after the nation proclaimed a state of emergency due to the spread of COVID-19.

She mentioned that Serbia started a mass vaccination campaign on Jan. 19 after a million doses of the Chinese Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine arrived in the country, also expressing her hope that daily life would return to normal by the end of this year.
