Harbin sees soaring China-Europe freight train services in 2020

The customs in Harbin, capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, announced they had handled 411 China-Europe freight trains in 2020, an increase of 99.51 percent year on year amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The containers on the trains grew 127.87 percent year on year to 27,360 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent unit), according to customs.
The customs provide round-the-clock reservation service of clearance for the operators of the freight train services, while taking a series of measures to improve the clearance efficiency.
They have also offered consulting services to over 70 companies through seminars and video conferences.
