China's Shaanxi unveils B&R metrology research center
The Belt and Road metrology research center, the only national-level metrology research institute focusing on the Belt and Road Initiative, was unveiled Monday in Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, according to Shaanxi Daily.
Stepping on the technical support and quality benchmarking role of metrology, the center aims to build an international exchange platform for strengthening international cooperation, as well as supporting the stable growth of foreign trade.
It is noted that the center has processed more than 200 files of metrological laws and regulations and management systems of Belt and Road countries, while conducting equipment verification for Chinese enterprises' overseas projects.
The center has reached cooperation deal with Northwest University of Political Science and Law to co-research on Belt and Road countries' metrological laws and regulations as well as metrological regulation systems of leading countries in such areas, according to the report.
