China's construction machinery export value rose by 54.9 percent year on year to 15.071 billion U.S. dollars in January-June (H1) this year, setting a new record, reported China Economic Net Tuesday quoting the General Administration of Customs.
In June alone, the export value of such products recorded 3.156 billion U.S. dollars, hiking by 94.8 percent year on year and setting the highest monthly record.
The exports of construction machinery in H1 this year increased by 46.2 percent from the record high for H1, 2019, noted Lyu Ying, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Construction Machinery Association.
Lyu attributed the export growth to the increasingly-improved overseas marketing and service systems of Chinese enterprises with relatively complete industry chain, and the booming demand from the international market driven by the post-pandemic recovery and the exploitation needs.
In H1 this year, China's leading construction machinery manufacturer SANY Group saw its international sales revenue surge 80 percent year on year, with that in 50 countries and regions registering 100 percent growth year on year, including developed countries like France and Russia as well as developing countries like India, Indonesia and Vietnam.
XCMG Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. (000425.SZ), another well-known construction machinery firm in China, saw a year-on-year growth of more than 70 percent in H1 in its product exports, according to the company's president and deputy Party chief Lu Chuan.
So far, the company's products have been sold to 187 countries and regions, including many Belt and Road countries, introduced Lu.
