Forum held in Xi'an strengthens intl cooperation

The second "Kechuang Xi'an" International Cooperation Forum – an important part of the 2021 National Public Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week – was held in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on Oct 21.

The forum was held both online and offline and was divided into links to Shaanxi, the United Kingdom, Italy, and keynote speeches.

Domestic and foreign experts, scholars, and entrepreneur representatives were invited to discuss international cooperation, investment, and talent recruitment.

In the link to Shaanxi, Wang Hongwei, deputy director of the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Commerce, explained the overall investment environment of Shaanxi and its resources, industry categories, scientific and educational foundation, and business environment.

Through online video, Steve Evans, director of the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership and the University of Cambridge Institute for Manufacturing, shared the advanced practical experience of the UK manufacturing industry and introduced the UK government's "net zero" emissions strategy and offered suggestions to the  development of Chinese manufacturing industry.

In the link to Italy, the representative of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs introduced China-Italy economic development expectations and policies and the commissioner of funding, budgets, and planning of the Italian Region of Sardinia explained the support and needs of Italian companies in overseas investment.

At the end of the forum, 13 companies from Shaanxi were given the "most valuable investment" award.
