Shaanxi maintains steady development of ports

Since the beginning of this year, ports in Northwest China's Shaanxi province have maintained steady operation and development, according to a news conference held by the provincial people's government on Dec 7.
While the international pandemic is still severe, Xi'an Xianyang International Airport has persisted in operating six international passenger routes and has opened 19 international cargo routes.

From January to November, Xi'an Xianyang International Airport completed a total of 3,398 inbound and outbound flights carrying 77,000 inbound and outbound passengers. Its cumulative import and export cargo volume reached 69,000 metric tons, an increase of 28.8 percent year-on-year.

The China-Europe Chang'an freight train has continued to develop as well. From January to November this year, the freight train made a total of 3,520 trips, transporting about 2.63 million tons in cargo.

In addition, construction on comprehensive bonded zones has reached a new level. The province is currently home to seven comprehensive bonded zones, ranking sixth in the country.

From January to October, the province's comprehensive bonded zones achieved 235.45 billion yuan in imports and exports, a year-on-year increase of 23.91 percent and accounting for 60.36 percent of the province's total foreign trade.
