Beijing will set up more than 30 Belt and Road state talent cultivation bases over the next three years to attract an estimated 900 people with master degrees and above and 1,800 senior researchers from the countries along the Belt and Road routes to study and research in the capital, the Beijing Education Commission said.

Beijing is the first city to implement the project in China aimed at realizing win-win education cooperation with relevant countries.

Apart from programs for foreign students and researchers' specialties, the project will also offer courses about Chinese language, culture and national conditions, as well as the language, culture and institutions of the countries along the Belt and Road routes.

As the cultural and political center of China, Beijing has rich education and research resources which can be used to deepen mutual understanding and trust between the peoples.
