The synergy of BRICS and the Belt and Road Initiative will ensure a golden decade ahead for the development of the cooperative bloc of emerging economies.

Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa have different political systems and economic structures. After nearly 10 years of development, the BRICS bloc has developed into a new type of international cooperative mechanism under the principle of openness, inclusiveness, cooperation and win-win results.

BRICS cooperation represents a new trend in the international economy that the collective rise of the emerging economies and developing countries changes the power balance in the world.

The Belt and Road Initiative is also in line with this new trend. The synergy of the BRICS bloc and the Initiative represents an overall trend of globalization.

The Delhi Declaration of BRICS in 2012 clearly shows the bloc's appeal to strengthening global governance and forming a more representative international financial framework.

The founding of the New Development Bank in 2014 marks the beginning of the transformation of the bloc vision from words into deeds.

The bloc's cooperation mechanism and the members' practical needs for development accord with the contents of the Belt and Road Initiative.

Taking part in the Initiative will inject new vitality to the BRICS and create new opportunities for not only the five countries but also the other emerging economies and developing countries.
