SAIC Motor, one of the largest auto companies in China, has recently unveiled a new model, MG MULAN (named MG4 ELECTRIC overseas) in the country and nearly 20 European countries.

Before its official launch on the European market, MG4 ELECTRIC has won the recognition of world-renowned automotive media such as TopGear, AutoCar, CarMagazine, etc., by virtue of its excellent strength and high quality. For example, AutoExpress, one of the most influential and authoritative automotive media in Europe, gave a high score of 4.5 (out of 5) after the test drive.

It is reported that the new EV model is built with the SAIC Motor's new MSP platform that is designed solely for all-electric cars. Equipped with an active safety system and a data security protection system, MSP aims to provide customers with a safe and quiet environment. MG4 ELECTRIC has reached the international top level in terms of design, safety, environmental protection, and quality.

"MG4 ELECTRIC is a product developed on a brand-new technology platform. In the next 3-5 years, it will be more advanced in terms of battery management technology and motor efficiency," said Zhao Aimin, deputy general manager of SAIC Motor International.

According to the SAIC Motor, the new model will be available next year in more than 80 countries and regions, including Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, and countries in the Middle East, and South America. The company targets an annual sales of 150,000 vehicles next year and aims to achieve the goal of being the champion of new energy models by overseas sales. It is expected to see the cumulative sales volume of 500,000 units in 2025.

It is learned that SAIC Motor has ranked first among the Chinese auto companies by overseas sales for six consecutive years.

In recent years, SAIC Motor has made efforts to expand its presence in the European market, by enhancing the product quality and performances. It has achieved breakthroughs in the French, British and German markets where the local automotive industry is more advanced.

"Europe represents the highest standard of automobile manufacturing in the world. If Chinese brands can gain a foothold in this market, it will be a very powerful thing for Chinese automobile manufacturing in the future," said Zhao.
