The Gyirong port in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region is one of the largest land ports between China and Nepal.

It resumed passenger clearance on Saturday.

Two-way cargo transport at the port resumed on Dec. 28 last year.

Since then, 9,800 tonnes of goods worth 413 million yuan (about 60 million U.S. dollars) have been exported from China via this port, while 600 tonnes of goods with a value of 17 million yuan have been imported into China through it.

The resumption of personnel exchanges means Gyirong port has now fully resumed passenger and cargo services.
