Institute for ‘Belt and Road‘ application-oriented talents launched

The Research Institute for “Belt and Road” Application-Oriented Talents was launched in Jiangsu Maritime Institute on Nov. 20, the Yangtse Evening Post reported.

The research institute will give full play to the Jiangsu Maritime Institute's advantages in naval navigation; ocean shipping; port construction; ship building and harbor engineering; will integrate resources from enterprises and the society; and build itself as a research, communication and consultancy platform for highly valued application-oriented talents in order to better serve the development of the Silk Road Economic Belt and 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road.

Xu Zuyuan, former vice minister of transport,  one of first International Maritime Organization (IMO) Maritime Ambassadors, serves as the director of the research institute.
