A tripartite strategic cooperation framework agreement was signed in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, on Dec. 26 for the establishment of an international production capacity and international technology cooperation promotioncenter in China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone Nansha Area of Guangzhou.

The three signatories were Nansha New District Administrative Committee of China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone, the International Cooperation Center of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and the Guangdong Comprehensive Reform and Development Institute

The three parties intend to make the center a base for cooperation in international production capacity and equipment manufacturing , as well as a base for international innovation and startup services in southern China.

It will also support the registration and operation of the Belt and Road Institute under the NDRC’s International Cooperation Center in Nansha.

The three parties plan to use the center as a platform to construct an integrated, efficient, convenient and professional service system for international investment and technology cooperation, and develop it into an important service platform for international production capacity and technology cooperation.

This is deemed important for developing the real economy of the Pearl River Delta and serve the implementation of China’s Belt and Road Initiative and help Nansha become a high-level business hub opening up to the world.
