Pingtan grants industrial subsidies of over 500 million yuan in first half of 2018, up 36.88% year on year
According to a source from the Administrative Examination and Approval Bureau of Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone, Pingtan approved and granted subsidies of 543 million yuan, up 36.88 percent year on year, showing the dividend of industrial subsidies.
Of the subsidies granted in the first half of 2018, headquarters economy, finance and encouraged industries registered subsidies of some 434 million yuan, accounting for 79.9 percent of all approved subsidies. These subsidies include enterprise contribution subsidy, personal income tax subsidy for senior executives, listing subsidy and import & export subsidy.
Besides, settlement subsidy, shipping contribution subsidy and subsidy for Taiwan ro-ro passenger ship route operation in Pingtan's shipping industry continued to grow steadily in the first half of 2018, with a total amount of 79.24 million yuan, ranking second among all industries. Pingtan also granted other subsidies, including building subsidy, tourism subsidy, subsidy for Cross-Strait Parcel Express Center and Cross-border Office, subsidy for Taiwan Innovation Park, personal income tax subsidy for Taiwanese residents, subsidy for medium & high-level talent introduction and subsidy for technology SMEs.
Pingtan launched the "express channel for preferential fiscal and tax policies" and set up a window for industrial subsidy application at the Administrative Service Center of Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone in 2016, to create a model of "one-form application, one-window acceptance, coordinated examination, one-stamp examination and one-week settlement" for industrial subsidy application, and address problems including the dispersion of subsidy funds, grant delay and lack of effective supervision.
