The Pingtan international digital economy port appeared on the Digital China Summit, indicating a digital and intelligent Pingtan in the future.

Tai Lu Tong App enables applying for the MTP online

The Tai Lu Tong App showcased on the Summit is the one and only platform on the mainland that provides information and services for Taiwan compatriots making frequent cross-strait trips.

It can be used to apply for the Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan residents (MTP), bank card and mobile phone card or book passage tickets online. It can be bound to Alipay accounts. Information on entrepreneur, career, school and training as well as preferential policies for Taiwan can also be found in the App.

Users for the App, which is in the period of practical test, are expected to reach 100,000 in a short time.

Gridding social service platform provides more convenience for residents

The gridding social service management platform showcased on the Summit is an important part of Pingtan’s informatization.

If a resident needs any help, he or she can apply through gridding staff, phone or website, and the system will make unified acceptance and coordination, and then assign the application to different departments. A unified audit will be conducted once the matter is addressed, then a follow-up and evaluation.

Pingtan international digital economy port draws blueprint for future development

The international digital economy port (Phase I) in the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone is to build two basic platforms, "Big Data Platform" and "Public Service Platform", as well as three applications of "Free Trade Information Port", "Industrial Internet Innovation Application Center" and "Belt and Road Innovation Highland".

The port will promote the collection, processing, analysis and research of massive data in the countries and regions along the Belt and Road to realize the transfer and release of data values. It is committed to converging flows of people, products and capitals with the drive of information flow, promoting integrated cross-strait development, and building a good digital economic and ecological environment.

The Belt and Road big data display platform, which is under accelerating construction, builds a multi-feature and multi-module visual panel for macro-socio-economic analysis and the Belt and Road analysis. Meanwhile, the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone is developing a Pingtan Special on the official website of the Belt and Road Initiative, which is hosted by the State Information Center, to promote Pingtan’s resources in Chinese, English, Russian, French, Arabic and Spanish.
