"We want to show the world, especially China, that although Chile is a small country at the end of South America and the world, it is very close to China," Luis Schmidt Montes, Chilean Ambassador to China, said in an interview.

Now China is the world's second largest economy...this is very important to us, Schmidt said during the Chile Week held at the Chilean Embassy in China.

Chile Week is the biggest promotional event that Chile has in the Chinese market, according to Natalia Cortes, Trade Commissioner of ProChile Beijing.

Now in its sixth edition, the Chile Week is taking place in Beijing and Shanghai with online and offline activities held during November 25 to December 3.

Covering trade, investment, economic development, tourism, culture, food and other industries, the Chile Week aims to further strengthen friendship, push forward cooperation in the fields of trade and investment, as well as further realize the profound cultural exchanges between the two countries.
