Guangzhou Port Group announced Thursday that it has exported 36,000 commercial vehicles in the first three months of 2022, up 71.4 percent year on year, which has reached a record high for the same period in history, reported Chinanews.com.

Facing the challenges caused by the COVID-19 epidemic and the spare parts supply difficulties, Guangzhou Port still achieved a 9.3 percent year-on-year increase in the volume of commercial vehicles loaded and unloaded.

In February, the first batch of Volvo passenger cars were imported at the Xinsha Port of Guangzhou, marking the number of commercial vehicles' brands imported via Xinsha exceeding 20.

In addition, with the efficient customs clearance service mechanism and government support policies in Nansha, Guangzhou Port has attracted many shipping companies to open six additional routes, covering the Middle East, Europe, South America, Southeast Asia and other regions. More than ten car brands such as Geely went global from Guangzhou Nansha Auto Port.
