East China's Zhejiang Province recently held an exchange and cooperation meeting between overseas chambers of commerce and local private enterprises, providing cooperation opportunities for private enterprises to "go global" and expand overseas markets, reported Chinanews.com on Tuesday.

The meeting was attended by overseas chambers of commerce from France, the United States, Canada, Japan, Vietnam and other countries and regions, as well as representatives of private entrepreneurs in Zhejiang.

With the accelerated expansion of overseas markets by private enterprises in Zhejiang Province in recent years, foreign investment and trade has become the main driving force for Zhejiang's local economic growth. At present, Zhejiang has a total of more than 2 million local enterprises conducting business overseas.

Cai Xiaochun, vice chairman of Zhejiang Federation of Industry and Commerce, said that overseas chambers of commerce and Zhejiang Federation of Industry and Commerce will join hands to build a cooperation platform to provide Zhejiang private enterprises with opportunities in project cooperation, technology and talent introduction, and jointly help private enterprises reach a higher level of opening-up.

In addition, the chairmen of Chinese chambers of commerce from France, Western Australia, Canada and other countries and regions were also full of confidence in the international cooperation with private enterprises in Zhejiang, and introduced the economic and trade cooperation opportunities in overseas markets.
