Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that, as a noble cause, the Global Development Initiative (GDI) proposed by China last year shows a vision to promote global development in terms of harmony, peace, economy and so on.
ISLAMABAD, June 16 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that, as a noble cause, the Global Development Initiative (GDI) proposed by China last year shows a vision to promote global development in terms of harmony, peace, economy and so on.
He made the remarks during an interview with Chinese media on Tuesday.
While expressing support for the initiative, the prime minister noted that the China-proposed Global Security Initiative and Global Development Initiative converge with each other, and Pakistan looks forward to playing a role in these initiatives.
