Pakistan Food and Cultural Festival held in N. China's Langfang

The Pakistani Embassy in China organized a Food and Cultural Festival at the Silk Road Art and Cultural Centre in Langfang City, north China's Hebei Province from August 13 to 14.

Featuring Pakistan's rich cultural heritage and traditional food, the two-day event received wide participance with opening ceremony attended by Chinese government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, business executives, media representatives, as well as guests from the Pakistani community.

Speaking during the opening ceremony, Pakistani ambassador to China Moin ul Haque highlighted Pakistan as an investment and tourist destination and invited Chinese people to visit Pakistan next year, which will be celebrated as the Year of Tourism Exchanges between China and Pakistan.

The ambassador also spoke in length about the time-tested friendship and iron brotherhood between China and Pakistan, hoping this festival would help further promote cultural cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.

The festival organized a number of activities during the weekend such as cultural performances, Pakistani product and handicraft display, photo exhibition, children games, Pakistani cuisine tasting, as well as a special art activity for kids to make painting symbolizing China-Pakistan friendship.
