Alibaba logistics unit Cainiao attends 2022 CIFTIS with innovative achievements in logistics sector

Cainiao Network (Cainiao), the logistics arm of China's e-commerce giant Alibaba Group, attended the 2022 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) Thursday in Beijing, capital of China, bringing its new innovative achievements in logistics sector, reported Chinanews.com.

In the first seven months of 2022, China's foreign trade saw a year-on-year growth of 10.4 percent and the trend of more Chinese brands going global was also seen in recent years, which puts forward new requirements for more efficient, stable and green cross-border logistics services.

During the CIFTIS, Cainiao showed its green logistics supply chain carbon billing smart platform to the public for the first time. Using this smart system, merchants can generate the "carbon bill" of the whole logistics process at any time with one click, which can make the average carbon reduction of 180 grams during the whole process.

In addition, Cainiao also displayed its smart international freight system that visualizes and tracks every transportation node during the flow of goods from domestic factories to overseas warehouses, comprehensively improving logistics stability.

China's logistics enterprises going global has become an important engine of high-quality development for foreign trade. At present, Cainiao's overseas warehouse business covers more than 30 countries and regions and it is expected that within this year, it will add 4 new offshore warehouses, covering the core logistics hubs in the east, middle and west of the United States, and further improve the logistics efficiency of tail delivery.

With the high-quality growth of China's industrial chain, more Chinese brands going global will promote the transformation of international supply chains. It is hoped that with the help of the international platform of CIFTIS, the company will deeply participate in and support the high-quality development of global digital trade, and expand the international logistics channel for domestic brands, according to the head of international business department of Cainiao.
