A forum on biotechnology cooperation between China and the Republic of Korea (ROK) has been successfully held online and offline recently, reported Shanghai Securities News Saturday quoting the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST).

Supported by MOST and the Chinese Embassy in the ROK, the forum was co-hosted by the China Science and Technology Exchange Center (CSTEC), Chongqing Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology and a biological association from the ROK.

Chinese Ambassador to the ROK Xing Haiming sent a congratulatory message to the forum, saying that since the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and the ROK 30 years ago, cooperation has always been the main theme of bilateral relations, and the two sides have huge cooperation space and obvious complementary advantages in various fields such as biomedicine and life and health.

Xing also expressed his hope that this forum would become a platform for people-to-people exchanges and cooperation in the field of biotechnology.

During the event, Chongqing Hi-tech Incubation Center signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) with the biological association from the ROK. Six companies from China and the ROK participated in the technology roadshow.
