Alibaba's communication app DingTalk saw its platform users exceed 600 million, the Xinhua-run Shanghai Securities News quoted DingTalk president Ye Jun as saying on Wednesday.

According to Ye, the number of enterprises at DingTalk exceeded 23 million by now. In the future, the company aims to cooperate with 1 million paid enterprises and become a mature enterprise service platform.

It was revealed for the first time that Dingtalk's paid daily active users (DAUs) had hit 15 million.

The company also released the 7.0 version of DingTalk, which mainly focused on solving cross-enterprise collaboration problems and improving industrial chain efficiency.

Since the release of its 1.0 version in 2014, DingTalk has experienced seven upgrades of major versions in the past eight years.
