Expat students make videos letting world know about Xi'an

The Chinese Bridge project team at the Xi'an University of Technology recently filmed videos in the city of in Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province.

The project team consisted of more than 30 teachers, eight international students and more than 10 Chinese students.

At The Longest Day in Chang'an – the first immersive street live entertainment and commercial shopping complex in the country featuring the Tang Dynasty (618-907) – the expat students said they felt the fresh vitality in the streets and alleys of ancient Chang'an city.

"This is what I imagine the prosperous Tang Dynasty looked like," said Mihailo Micanovic, an international student at Xi'an University of Technology.

When visiting the studio of Teng Guiyan, an inheritor of intangible cultural heritage cloth paste paintings – located in Xi'an's Beilin district – Micanovic was enthralled by the vivid colors in the works.

The videos were also filmed at Xi'an City Wall and in the Beiyuanmen historical and cultural district.

They will be posted on the official website of the Chinese Bridge, for overseas friends who love Chinese culture to learn and watch.
