The “Chinese standard” has become a catchword of the times with the extending of the Belt and Road.

China has made unswerving efforts over the past years to promote the going out of Chinese standards.

The International Organization for Standardization’s statistics show that China previously only made 13 international standards between 1947, when the ISO was established, and 2000, but has made 182 international standards in the 15 years that followed.

Enterprises are the main contributors to the standards. International standardization cooperation is required for enterprises to export Chinese standards.

Chinese enterprises need to cultivate a batch of inter-disciplinary talents, who are supposed to be fluent in foreign languages, specialized in technology and familiar with the rules in the field, so as to better advance the making of international standards.

Chinese enterprises should also focus on integrative development of technological innovation and standard making.

The going out of Chinese enterprises provides the necessary stimulus for Chinese standards to go abroad, which can pave way for the going out of more Chinese enterprises in the future.
