Uzbekistan Marakand-Karshi Railway
Electrification Project
On August 17th 2015, the Uzbekistan Marakand-Karshi Railway Electrification Project which is
built by China National Technical Import & Export Corporation (CNTIC), a
wholly-owned subsidiary of China General Technology (Group) Holding Ltd., was
put into operation in advance successfully.
The project is 140 km long and as
an important north-south direction major railway line, people call it
“Presidential Project”. It is the second railway electrification
project undertaken by CNTIC in Uzbekistan.
The successful implementation of
the project not only built the good reputation of Chinese company of
contract-honoring and promise-keeping, but also won highly appreciation from
the End User - Uzbekistan Temir Yollari, and it also promotes the social and
economic development of Uzbekistan.
Together with healthy and steady
development of the strategic partnership between China and Uzbekistan, CNTIC,
the only Chinese company which has successfully entered areas of railway
electrification, supply of locomotives, railway special vehicles and railway
depot equipments, will carry out undergoing projects steadily, promotes
sustainable, deeply, rolling development of future projects actively and makes
contribution to the economic and trade cooperation between two countries.
