China-Africa regional aviation cooperation plan
In May 2014, Premier Li Keqiang initiated
the "China-Africa regional aviation cooperation plan" on the Assembly of
African Union, turning the "Chinese aircraft going globally" into the national
strategic promoting project. AVIC dedicated itself in implementing this Plan as
the major implementing enterprise, and appointed AVIC INTL to specifically
implement this Plan, the latter of whom then carried out the "2123" civil
aircraft marketing and customer service work plan in African countries, meaning
the construction of 2 marketing centers, 1 training center, 2 maintenance
centers, and 3 spare part centers. In this way, the entire civil aviation
industry can go globally by virtue of civil aircraft export. By now, AIFA has
been established in South Africa while a Technical Support Center has been
established in Tanzania, and construction of the other centers is well
underway.
