The 30th Anniversary of the Development and Construction of Wuxi-Singapore Industrial Park and the Conference for the High-quality Construction of Wuxi Singapore Science and Technology Innovation City was held on Monday in Wuxi City, east China's Jiangsu Province.

At the conference, the Wuxi Singapore Science and Technology Innovation City, covering an area of 43 square kilometers, was officially unveiled. This move will further promote Wuxi-Singapore cooperation, enhance the level of opening-up and innovation, and improve the level of industrial development of the city.

It is noted that the Wuxi Singapore Science and Technology Innovation City will build an integrated community that includes business, finance, cultural exchange, and urban parks. It will cover industries such as the internet of things, integrated circuits, biomedicine, intelligent equipment, automotive parts, new energy, and it will also layout future industries like the meta-verse, hydrogen energy storage, and artificial intelligence.

On December 18, 1993, the People's Government of Wuxi City signed a cooperation agreement with Singapore's Sembcorp Industries to jointly develop the Wuxi-Singapore Industrial Park and build Jiangsu's first batch of international industrial parks. These parks have gradually become important portals for Wuxi to carry out international cooperation, exchange, and showcase the achievements of reform and innovation.

Over the past thirty years, the park with a land area of 3.5 square kilometers has attracted a total investment of over 15 billion U.S. dollars, the total amount of imports and exports reached nearly 200 billion US dollars and the average tax per mu exceeded 2 million yuan, making it one of the highly developed and intensive industrial parks in Wuxi and Jiangsu.

At the same time, the park has gathered more than 200 enterprises from over 20 countries and regions, forming emerging industrial bases, which include the integrated circuit industry, the internet of things industry, the biomedicine industry, the intelligent equipment industry, the automotive industry, and the new energy industry.
