Chinese carmaker BAIC launches all-electric cars in the Dominican Republic, foraying into Latin American market

BAIC BluePark (600733.SH), a subsidiary of Chinese carmaker BAIC Group, signed a cooperation agreement with SERTELSA SOLAR from the Dominican Republic and Qing Dao T'ang Buy International Import & Export Co., Ltd. on Tuesday.

This agreement marks ARCFOX, BluePark's premium electric brand, officially entering the Dominican Republic, and exploring the Latin America market.

Charles Sanchez, CEO of SERTELSA SOLAR, expressed confidence in ARCFOX, saying that BAIC BluePark, as a pioneer in China's new energy vehicle (NEV) market, boasts a rich product portfolio in the electric vehicles sector. 

The Shanghai-listed company possesses core technologies in battery, motor, and electronic control systems, coupled with intelligent connectivity and autonomous/assisted driving technologies.
