The first-ever train transporting a cargo of dairy products from Poland to China has arrived at its final destination.
Train X8016 brought more than 1,100 tonnes of liquid pure milk and instant milk powder to Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei Province, on Thursday.
The train departed Poland's Malaszewicze on Oct. 1 and passed through Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan on its 9,300-km journey. It entered China via the Alataw Pass in the northwestern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
Poland is one of the major exporters of dairy products in Europe, and Malaszewicze is an important train transfer hub in Poland.
