The first SY215CKD excavator produced by China's leading heavy equipment maker Sany Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. (Sany) in its factory in Indonesia rolled off production line on Monday, marking the start of production of the first overseas lighthouse factory of China's construction machinery industry, reported the Xinhua-run China Securities Journal.

The lighthouse factory is located in Indonesia's KIM industrial park, 70 kilometers away from the capital of Jakarta. It covers an area of 100,000 square meters and has a total investment of 200 million yuan.

The factory mainly produces excavators weighing 13 to 55 tonnes for markets in Southeast Asia, with planned annual production capacity standing at 3,000 units.

At present, the factory has initially enabled full network connection in the 12 main production processes such as assembly, logistics and commissioning. It also realized unmanned production.

Deploying more than 500 robots, the factory has planned per capita output value of 11 million yuan. It is one of the smartest overseas factories with the highest per capita output value built by Chinese construction machinery companies, according to Ding Shifeng in charge of the project.

Ding said that Sany would follow the example of the factory in Indonesia and build 10 more overseas lighthouse factories.
