During the Pingtan China• Innovation Forum for Entrepreneurs, Scientists, and Financiers is going on in Pingtan, a sub-forum on the development of unmanned industries to explore the future development of the unmanned driving industry in Pingtan is also held.

In March of this year, Pingtan, in the background of emerging industries, pioneered the demonstration of unmanned driving, and built a demonstration test base for land, sea and air unmanned driving.

Lin Shujie, deputy director of the Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone Management Committee, said that Pingtan has unique advantages in terms of location, resources and policies, and will focus on innovative applications in areas such as artificial intelligence, big data, and communication networks to explore the application in real traffic environment. The mainland's artificial intelligence market has great potential, and Taiwan has advantages in chip technology. "To develop the driverless industry, we need to work together with Taiwanese businessmen."

Chen Misi, assistant general manager of Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone Wisdom Island Investment and Development Co., Ltd. said that Pingtan is an island with relatively independent transportation system, which means it has unique advantages in terms of security and control.

He pointed out that Pingtan's automobile industry foundation is relatively weak, and hopes to attract relevant industries to land in Pingtan by virtue of geographical and policy advantages. In the future, an unmanned driving plan will be developed for the scenic spots to create a national unmanned driving demonstration area.

You Wenren, chairman of Delta Electronics Group (Pingtan) Branch, said that he is very optimistic about the development prospects of artificial intelligence in Pingtan. I believe that more Taiwanese companies will be willing to bring the "Taiwan experience" of the driverless industry to Pingtan.
