The China National Arts & Crafts (Group) Corp.

The China National Arts & Crafts (Group) Corp. is a central enterprise directly controlled by State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. It is jointly established by two central enterprises, namely the original China National Arts and Crafts Import & Export Corporation and the China National Arts & Grafts (Group) Corporation, when the State gave great impetus to the layout structure adjustment of central enterprises and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council adjusted the layout of central cultural enterprises in February 2007. Establishment of the new Group marks that the China National Arts and Crafts (Group) Corporation bears the heavy duty to carry on the arts and crafts culture, promote the arts and crafts economy, develop the arts and crafts industry and bring the traditional Chinese culture to the world as the central enterprise practitioner of national culture strategy. 

At the present, the China National Arts and Crafts (Group) Corporation has formed four major businesses including arts and crafts raw materials, arts and crafts products, jewelry and cultural services and has six operating companies covering the upstream and downstream of the industry including China Metal & Technologies Inc., China Jewelry, China National Arts and Crafts Import and Export Corporation, China National Arts & Grafts (Group) Corporation, China Artex and China Arts & Crafts Trading Co.. Its total assets has reached 11.5billion RMB, the annual sales revenue is about 37billion RMB and has paid nearly 1.5billion RMB taxes in which the total profit is 1billion RMB and the total import and export volume is about 6 billion US dollars. The leader image of China National Arts and Crafts (Group) Corporation in the industry is jointly shaped by the reputations and resources of China Arts and Crafts Association, chairman of the China Toy Association unit, vice-chairman of the China Gold Association unit, chairman of the Shanghai Diamond Exchange unit, chairman of the Shanghai Gold Exchange unit and the legal domestic platinum and ivory importer. 

In the past four decades, China National Arts and Crafts Import &Export Corporation and China National Arts & Grafts (Group) Corporation, predecessor of the China National Arts and Crafts (Group) Corporation, played an industrial leader role in inheriting and carrying forward excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation, protecting of national treasures, expanding of outside communication, absorbing and drawing of world useful culture fruits, carrying on of time spirit, carrying forward of culture innovation, boosting of market, expansion of export, promoting of domestic and international arts and crafts industrial development, admitting of employment, increasing of farmers incomes and promoting of regional economy development in the domestic and international market, and made a significant contribution to the national economic construction.
