Guizhou to fully commercialize 5G in 2022

Guizhou has recently issued the Action Program for Construction of New Internet Digital Facilities, making clear that Guizhou's investment in digital facilities would exceed 50 billion yuan from 2019 to 2022. A key task is implementing the digital facility improvement project. Guizhou has expressly proposed to advance 5G construction and commercialization, make innovation in 5G application, and accomplish the trial commercialization of 5G in 2019, large-scale commercialization in 2020 an full commercialization in 2022.

Guizhou will advance the construction of "Guizhou with Full Network Access" to form an optical network layout of "rural areas accessing 100M, urban areas accessing 1,000M and industrial parks accessing 10,000M", and will implement the industrial Internet improvement project to advance enterprise digitalization and intranet transformation. By 2022, Guizhou will drive 6,000 industrial enterprises to conduct digitalization and Intranet transformation. Besides, Guizhou will speed up the application innovation of the Guiyang secondary node for national industrial Internet identifier resolution, to improve the security protection capacity of industrial Internet.

Guizhou has expressly proposed to implement the "Cloud Net Platform" project, build a "Guizhou-Cloud Big Data" platform carrying all government data and applications in Guizhou, build a government service network to accomplish the online handling of government service matters at all levels in Guizhou, and build an intelligent platform to efficiently support government administration, social governance and livelihood service.
