New China-Europe freight train route linking C. China's Henan, St. Petersburg launched
A Russia-bounded 55-container China-Europe freight train loaded with tires, polyester staple fiber tooling line, stainless steel pipes, and other goods departed from Zhengzhou International Land Port on June 30, marking launch of a new China-Europe freight train route, reported Henan local media.
Through Alashankou Port in Xinjiang, the train will finally arrive in Saint Petersburg of Russia. So far, the number of overseas destinations of Henan Zhengzhou China-Europe freight train operated by Zhengzhou International Land Port Company has reached 14. The opening of the Zhengzhou-Saint Petersburg route has added an efficient and convenient international logistics channel connecting China's central area to Europe.
Saint Petersburg is a railway hub in Russia's northwestern region, with 12 main lines leading to Helsinki, Warsaw, Moscow and other cities. This cargo route is planned to run 2 to 3 times a month, and gradually promoting its normal and long-term operation, which will further enhance the influence of Henan-run China-Europe freight train in the regions along the route.
